About Rick

Rick Theobald's approach to managing real estate transactions on behalf of his clients is best characterized as highly professional, dignified, and reflecting a high level of sensitivity to all parties. He thrives on aggressively negotiating on behalf of his clients and takes great pains to insure that there is a flow of communication that will preclude unwanted surprises. Tenacious and attentive to detail, Rick believes that every real estate transaction should be viewed as a golden opportunity to bring a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment to his clients as well as himself. He pursues real estate with the same zeal and enthusiasm that he applies to the other passions in his life, namely his family, animal welfare, hiking, biking ,tennis, fine dining, art and music.

Rick's real estate credentials include roughly a decade in the areas of real estate development and marketing, initially in California's famed wine country, Carmel, Pebble Beach, and most recently in Santa Fe, New Mexico where he is affiliated with Sotheby's International Realty.

His earlier career experiences as a member of the top management team with a major national retail chain (Mervyn's), later as the founding principal of a consulting business that provided venture capital and business concept planning services, and finally as president and chief executive officer of a 200+ store specialty chain that he created and ultimately saw acquired by Hallmark, Inc. have left Rick with a solid foundation in terms of business planning, financial analysis, marketing and people management...all of which are frequently called into service in his role as a Realtor.

Perhaps the most meaningful observation that can be made about Rick's life as a Realtor is that he counts, today, amongst his most valued and intimate friendhships a large number of people with whom he originally became acquainted in his role as a Realtor.
